Here is our first little, fun, semi' instructional video. I'm sure there will be more in the future as we had a lot of fun doing it, and still have a lot to learn. I'm so proud of my hubby for some of the awesome shots he got filming, pretty hip editing, and sweet music choice. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Awesome vid. What is the little white thing swirling at the end after the coffee is stirred? Looks like a little smiling snowman face :)
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a little face! I believe it's bubbles/foam from all of the stirring action. :)
DeleteIt came out great- very cool!

A Chemex is considered both a pour over and drip method of coffee brewing. The shape of the brewer and thickness of the filters were designed by a chemist in the 40's to extract the ideal coffee by filtering out much of the oils and fats that can ruin the good flavor. The shape of the Chemex then sort of acts like a wine decanter, in that its shape allows the coffee to breath to let the full spectrum of flavors develop. It's quite cool. :) We usually drink our Chemex coffee black because it's that good. Before we really doctored our coffee with cream and syrups.
DeleteWow, that is really cool! I've never heard of it before - I am really keen to taste the difference!
DeleteM.
I don't even drink coffee, but I love this video. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'll take it as twice the compliment then. :D Thank you!
DeleteWhat a beautiful video! Loved it. You guys will make more, yah? :) We just got our first Chemex a couple of weeks ago - and I'm not drinking caffeinated coffee right now, but love using it to make a decaf treat once in awhile!
